Cakes

I love to bake and I have two young children with lots of birthday parties in my future.  I want to make the cakes myself so that I can control the ingredients.  So, I am trying my hand at decorating.  I will be posting my successes here.

6th Birthday Lego Cake
What kind of cake for a 6 year old boy? This year Lego!  The cake is marble, icing is buttercream and marshmallow fondant. All Dairy Free

4th Birthday Hat Cake
My daughter saw this at a bakery and thought it was a good idea so I made it for her birthday.  Cake is carrot (her request), icing is buttercream with marshmallow fondant.  Ribbon and flower are Fruit by the Foot rolls.  All Dairy Free

5th Birthday Go Train Cake
My son put in a request almost a year before for Go Train Birthday Cake, this is what I came up with.
The engine is Rice Krispy, the first car, vegan chocolate and the second car vanilla.  Icing is vegan buttercream and marshmallow fondant.

3rd Birthday Gift Cake
I made this for my daughter's third birthday, it is a vanilla cake with raspberry filling and I used buttercream and marshmallow fondant.  I was inspired by a photo at a local bakery.

Halloween Cake Pops

Made these for friends and family.  Dairy free pumpkin cake dipped in vegan chocolate and sprinkled with fun Halloween candies
